The Tweet House Presents: Innovations in Social Business

Las Vegas Convention Center, in the North Hall, room N262

It’s no secret that social techniques and technologies are in constant flux — and those who have a handle on the most useful emergent methods have an edge. In this seminar some of the best minds in the social space will discuss what they see becoming relevant in 2013, and how brands, retailers and organizations can best take practical advantage of these shifts in the social landscape.

Top Five Program Topics:

  • Emerging social platforms: which ones show promise to achieve critical mass in 2013?
  • New and improved ways to capture, analyze, and mine social data
  • Staying ahead of the curve: Examining the latest social management tools, services, and API’s
  • How integration = opportunity: Examining the convergence of mobile/location-aware devices with social sharing
  • The innovative organization: How firms and non-profits are adapting to new workflows and commerce opportunities

9:00 to 9:30am

The Age of Context: How the Convergence of Social, Mobile, and Big Data are Defining the Future

Authors Robert Scoble and Shel Israel will discuss their latest book, “The Age of Context,” emphasizing how the convergence of 5 forces — social, mobile, sensors, big data, and mapping will affect community building and management.

9:30 to 10:00am

Beyond “Influencers”: New Approaches for Cultivating Advocates and Evangelists

Moderator: Steve Broback
Speakers: Matt Edelman, Marsha Collier

Word of mouth is the most powerful vehicle for marketplace success (or failure!) and shepherding conversation is as much an art as it is a science. We’ll examine the latest in “influencer” identification, prioritization, outreach, and the human side to interaction.

10:10 to 10:40am

Innovations in Social Data and Analysis

Moderator: Steve Broback
Speakers: Warren Whitlock, Dan Zarrella, Shawn Rorick

New APIs, data repositories, toolsets and services are appearing daily. With them — better predictive models and audience analysis can be performed. This session will cover the new, lesser known, and most useful resources available to drive actionable insights and conversion.

10:40 to 11:10am

Social Media Management Systems: What’s the Latest?

Moderator: Blair Poloskey
Speakers: Jennifer McNabb

Whether you’re using an enterprise service like CoTweet or HootSuite or have “rolled your own” system for managing multiple accounts/profiles in a workgroup, this session will cover what enhancements and features will provide the most incremental value over the next twelve months.

11:20 to 11:50am

Follow the Money: Investing in Social Technologies

A great way to know what’s on the horizon is to tap into the expert VC’s, angels, and accelerators who are funding the future. Our panel of investors will talk about the social and mobile companies they’re backing that will be imminently relevant to our audience.

11:50am to 12:20pm

Growing your Audience: Likes, Follows, and Beyond

While follower counts, retweets and likes are easily measured and provide tangible numbers, they’re not the perfect target, and current methods for creating them are flawed. This session will cover the latest techniques for driving quality — as well as quantity of audience.
