Oren Jacob, CTO, Pixar. Executive Producer, “Ready, Set, Bag!” Oren Jacob is currently leading the effort to build a new, state of the art animation system at Pixar. And Oren is also the Executive Producer of “Ready, Set, Bag!”, a feature length documentary film about the National Grocery Bagging Competition currently in theatrical exhibition.
Previously, he was the Supervising Technical Director of the Academy Award winning “Finding Nemo”, the Associate Technical Director of “Toy Story 2”, and the Executive Producer of the documentary “Runners High”. Prior to that, Oren worked on “A Bugs Life”, “Toy Story”, and numerous television commercials including Listerine “Arrows” which won a Gold Clio in 1994. Oren also helped found Pixar University, the studio’s internal training and education division, and he taught Animated Short Film at the Academy of Art College for 7 years. Oren holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Carter Holland, Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Avid – the Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy award-winning market leader – whose technology is used by film, video, audio, broadcast, and education customers to create the most listened to, most watched, and most loved media in the world. In his current role, he is responsible for defining and executing Avid’s transition from a portfolio-branded to master-branded company, as well as the company’s social media and community engagement programs, which serve more than 500,000 registered participants on hosted customer communities and approximately 73,000 people engaged with Avid on social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Myspace.
At Avid, Mr. Holland oversees a global marketing function with responsibility for brand strategy; corporate communications; social media and community engagement, online marketing and web strategy; public, analyst and artist relations; creative services; tradeshows and events; and multimedia production. Prior to Avid, he worked at a top management consulting firm, where he specialized in developing and executing communication programs, organizational research projects, and change management strategies for Fortune 500 companies. He’s contributed articles to Billboard Magazine, and is also a professional recording and gigging musician.
Warren Whitlock, Author. Warren has been an entrepreneur in the computer, publishing and media industries. He started his career in broadcast advertising, developing cross promotions between two or more businesses, and has used the same strategies in direct mail and other media.
Over the past decade, Warren has taught thousands of small businesses, authors and individuals how to use proven direct marketing principles to promote product or service, started a trade association for manufacturers in the imaging products industry and served on several executive boards.
Christopher Rauschnot is an accomplished social media and engagement consultant to corporations worldwide. He has made a positive impact in the hospitality, travel, nightlife, entertainment and technology industries. He has been directly involved with the creation of several corporate media policies and is a conference speaker.
Most recently, he spoke about brand engagement and at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 – Social Media Jungle presented by Jeff Pulver. He is an active user of Twitter at (@24k and @24kMedia), and he has a company Facebook Fan page. He also blogs about technology at The Mac Wizard. Christopher enjoys traveling to destinations while interacting with social media influencers in each city he visits – look for him next in Las Vegas at the NAB Show, April 10-15!
